Recently opened projects, on the Projects screen
No more empty messages in the project chat
A new design, and much more
And dozens of small improvements, especially on phones.
Several Tayo accounts, one TAYO.pro
A branch, an old address, an account an agency created for you: you hold several Tayo accounts. Link them to the connected one, and TAYO.pro retrieves their clients and projects along with yours, then keeps them up to date and tells you when the projects of a linked account have arrived.
Sending to Tayo — every step in view
Dashboard — deleted drafts disappear
Search — your filters are kept
On-site job done — the project stays awaiting payment
New client — no more duplicates on save
PDFs whose name contains “/” or “:” are accepted and reach Tayo as PDFs
F105/1026 Invoice.pdf was refused on drag and drop and showed no preview.
It now uploads like any other PDF.Edit panels — the caret is already in the field, and Enter confirms
Project notes and description — the field fills the panel
The API key management screen
Still nothing visible in the app: like the previous release, this one prepares the arrival of the public API.
The Settings → API screen is now complete. An administrator will create one live key and one test key there, see the key in plaintext exactly once, and be able to revoke it. Acceptance of the API terms of use, recorded since the previous release, is asked for there before the first key.
The screen stays hidden while the public API is not open: a key created today would reach nothing. It appears in the release that opens the API.
Fair-use limits for the API
Still nothing visible in the app: this release continues preparing the public API, which is not open yet.
The limits the documentation publishes are now actually applied — 25,000 requests a month and 60 a minute, counted separately for test keys so trying things out still costs nothing.
Reaching the monthly quota does not cut the service off. You are notified at 50 %, 80 % and 100 %, and past 100 % an overage of 20 % is allowed once in the month so there is time to talk rather than an outage. Only once that is spent are calls refused.
A GET /api/v1/usage call reports where you stand at any moment, and keeps
answering even when the quota is spent — it is the one call you need most at
exactly that point.
Companies whose volume outgrows the default have their limit raised per company, at a price agreed together. There is no tier grid and no self-serve upgrade.
Safari — no start-up error, and fields that stay put
An up-to-date app engine
This release leaves your screens alone and replaces what they stand on. TAYO.pro is built with Flutter, and the version in use dated from December 2024. Seven releases later, the app moves to the current stable release, and every library that ships with it follows.
In the browser, the app now loads through the mechanism Flutter recommends today. The old application cache is gone: it could hold on to a stale version after an update, whereas a visit now loads the published one.
Buttons, fields, menus and navigation bars follow the latest Material 3 changes. TAYO.pro’s colours, corner radii and typography stay as they were.
On Safari, and in every browser on iPhone and iPad, a page’s data (project, lists, messages) took 15 to 20 seconds to show up after loading, while it arrived at once elsewhere. It now shows without that delay.
On phones, the actions menu (⋯) of a record, a contact or a document now opens at once, as a bottom sheet that also shows each action’s icon.
A project synced with Tayo can no longer be deleted from TAYO.pro
A project synced with Tayo belongs to Tayo: its site, description and contacts already could not be edited from TAYO.pro. Deleting it, though, was still possible — and erased the project with its quotes, invoices and on-site jobs while Tayo went on knowing about it.
Heavy PDFs and photos open on iPhone and iPad
A PDF put together from site photos — two full-resolution iPhone shots, say — sat on its loading indicator for minutes on iPhone and iPad, when it did not simply take the tab down. The browser had to draw each page at the photo’s real size, close to a hundred million pixels, far beyond what Safari allows on a phone.
The preview used to open in a rounded sheet with the app showing around it, and dressed differently by file: a light bar and grey background for a PDF, black with floating buttons for a photo. It now takes the whole screen, on black, with a single bar at the top — file name, position in the gallery, and the same buttons whatever the type. A PDF only adds its paging, in a pill at the bottom. On a computer, Escape closes the preview and the arrow keys move between files.
The PDF and image previews now offer, next to download, to open the file in a new tab. Safari, Chrome or Firefox’s built-in viewer takes over from there — handy for a very large document, or to print it from the browser.
A photo used to open on a black screen until it was fully shown. You now see the download progress, then an indicator while the image is being prepared. If it cannot be displayed, the file name and the open-in-browser button appear instead.
Groundwork for the API terms of use
Nothing visible in the app for now: this release prepares the arrival of the public API.
The API terms of use and the privacy clause covering webhooks have been drafted, and TAYO.pro can now record their acceptance — who accepted, when, and which version of the text. That record will be required before a first API key can be created.
Project groups are coming to the PLUS plan
Three situations produce related projects today, and none of them shows up in the app: the work orders of a single Tayo claim, a complementary quote or invoice created from an existing project, and the connections you keep in your head — two work orders on the same building, a maintenance series.
The PLUS plan’s feature list now announces project groups, with the “in development” icon. Nothing is visible in the app yet: the feature is announced, not shipped.
It will let you group related projects and see at a glance which ones belong together, even when they involve different clients or branches.
Forms open in a panel, beside your work
A form used to open as a dialog, a panel or a sheet rising from the bottom depending on where you started it, each with its own buttons. The natural reflex — clicking beside it to close — did nothing, because a stray click would have thrown away typed work without warning.
Clicking beside a panel closes it, just like the Esc key or the browser’s back button. With nothing typed, it closes straight away.
As soon as a field has been changed, leaving the panel asks first: “Keep editing” returns to the form untouched, “Discard” closes it. The question comes up whichever way you leave — an outside click, the X, Cancel, Esc, the back button. A save already in progress can no longer be interrupted by a stray click.
These three forms used to rise from the bottom of the screen and cover the page. They now open in a side panel: the project stays visible while you type, and the action buttons stay at the foot of the panel as the form scrolls.
Door code, client reference, key availability, the amount allowed without a quote, site, billing address, branch, source file and the notes: nine fields that each opened in their own way now use the same panel, with a title and a Cancel and a Save button in the same place. Until now most offered only a Save button, with no clear way to back out.
On a quote or an invoice, “Save & send later” folds under an arrow to the right of the send button, instead of taking a second button that ran off the edge of the panel.
The overlay covering the page behind a panel is now a light wash instead of the previous dark grey, so the page you came from stays in view while you type.
No dialog in the app closed when you clicked outside it: the click never reached the area meant to catch it. On a computer the Esc key still worked, which hid the problem; on mobile you had to find a button. The release notes in particular had none — they now have a close button, and every dialog closes on an outside click again.
On a quote with several variants, the Amount field shared its line with the comment and grew too narrow to show the sum. The two fields now sit one above the other when the space is tight.
“Comment (optional)”, “Add variant” and “Remove variant” showed in English on quote variants whatever the language. The file field when sending a document was labelled “Invoice file”; it is simply “File”.
Two questions settled before you sign up
Two decisions are made in seconds at sign-up, and are hard to undo afterwards. They now carry their explanation where they are taken.
The address you type at sign-up is your login and the address that receives notifications about your work. If it is the one your property managers already use in Tayo, linking takes one click; a different address works too, through the custom connection.
A new page explains it, and the sign-up page links straight to it.
A company identity can only be registered on one account. The question is now raised on the sign-up page and repeated during onboarding, just before the identity is chosen.
The matching page also explains which UID to pick when you register: the head office’s for a single account, the branch’s if you want that branch to become independent over time.
The error when picking your company stays readable
On your first launch you search the Swiss registry for your company and select it by its UID. If that UID already belongs to another TAYO.pro account, the registration is refused — that part is deliberate, but until now the explanation was gone before you could read it.
Your email address is shown on the verification page
An address mistyped at registration used to be invisible: the verification page never showed where the link had been sent, and the only clue was an email that never arrived.
The “Verify your email” page now shows the address the verification link was sent to, in plain sight. A typo is obvious at a glance, and going back to the login page is all it takes to sign up again with the right address.
iPhone photos finally go through
A photo taken on an iPhone is saved as HEIC, a format no browser can display. Until now TAYO.pro simply turned them away: you had to reopen the photo in Preview or Photos and export it as JPEG before you could send it.
.heic and .heif files are now accepted everywhere a photo already was:
message attachments, the photos of your work and the logo on your STAR profile,
quotes and invoices, and the screenshots you send with feedback.
The conversion to JPEG happens on your own device, the moment you pick the file — you see the preview straight away, and the photo goes out in a format your clients can open, whatever phone or browser they are on.
Photos are resized along the way too, which brings them under the size limits without you having to think about it.
Name your files as you drop them into the Drive
Dropping ten site photos into the Drive used to mean ten imports followed by ten renames. This version fixes that, and makes the Drive card far easier to read along the way.
When you add files to the Drive, each one now gets its own row with a name field already filled in. Fix what needs fixing, save, and the files arrive under the right name.
The extension (.pdf, .jpg…) sits beside the field but cannot be edited —
there is no way to break a file by renaming it.
Each row also lets you open the file full screen to check it is the right one before saving, or drop it from the import.
On a computer you can drag your files onto the Drive card itself. The import panel opens already filled in, with a name field per dropped file.
Every file shows its size and date, without opening the info sheet.
Clicking a row opens the file preview.
Download moved into each file’s menu.
Files are listed from the most recently imported to the oldest. Renaming a file does not move it in the list.
Used space now comes with a progress bar that turns red as the project approaches its limit.
Documentation arrives in TAYO.pro
Until now, finding out how to do something meant writing to us. This release brings the documentation to where the question comes up.
A book icon now sits beside the screens and settings that deserve an explanation. It opens the matching page in a side panel, without taking you away from what you were doing.
The Support menu and Settings → Documentation open the full documentation, which also lives on a site of its own.
A What’s new card appears in the navigation menu when a release brings something, and goes away once you have read it.
Under Settings, tapping the version number shows what your build contains.
The app now explains when a complementary quote is possible and when it is not — after a quote has been sent, after one has been accepted — instead of simply greying the button out.
You can also create a complementary quote or invoice in one click from a work order, prefilled with the client, the site and the details.
Accepted invoices marked paid automatically
New module: as soon as your client accepts an invoice, it moves to paid (unverified) on its own. All that is left is confirming the payment once the money has arrived.
Turn it on under Settings → Application.
Your clients' evaluations
When a job is finished, your client can leave an evaluation. Those ratings are now gathered in the Evaluations screen, with filters and sorting by date or by rating.
Your Star profile
Your company now has a public shopfront: its Star profile. It reuses your Identity — trades, service area, certificates — and makes it visible in the Tayo directory, so new clients can find you.
The profile stays private until you publish it.
January 2026
Over the past months we shipped concrete things: project reminders, documents sent to the client, clearer e-mails, a new dashboard, and a straight answer when Tayo blocks a send.
PLUS plan. Schedule reminders on a project, with their own notification preferences.
Send a document to the client from the project, without going through a quote or an invoice.
The e-mails your clients receive were rebuilt, and the document is attached as a PDF.
A document that went out with a mistake can be corrected, without starting over.
The amount actually awarded now appears on the quote.
When Tayo refuses a send, the app explains why instead of failing silently.
Smoother, and better for everyday use.
A project’s status can be changed from the list.
A notification when a project becomes cancelled or finished.
Sending an invoice for CHF 0.-.
To keep things simple, the free “TAYO” plan is now called the BASIC plan.
October 2025
All plans. Offer several options in a single quote — a budget version, a premium one, a technical alternative. No need to build three quotes, and your client chooses in one place. Even after sending, the quote stays editable.
Orders coming from Tayo now show the date they were created, not the date they were imported. To update older ones, go to Settings → Integrations and press “resynchronise data”.
Choose how results are sorted — creation date, send date, deadline — and narrow them with the new filters. Most useful if you run a lot of projects, quotes or clients.
An idea, an irritation? From TAYO.pro you can propose a feature, report a bug or suggest an integration. You can also vote and comment on other people’s ideas, and you get the follow-up by e-mail once you take part.
In the Messages tab you now see the messages of the main operation, plus those of associated tickets and linked operations from Tayo.
September 2025
PLUS plan. Assign a project to a branch, and filter your lists by branch.
All plans. The contacts that matter on a project, without leaving it.
All plans.
August 2025
PLUS plan. Keep your files next to a project’s documents, in the same place as everything else.
PLUS plan. Automatic reminders on your invoices, so you get paid sooner without chasing.
Zoom on files.
Refreshing your Identity from UID Admin CH.
Calendar personalisation.
Personalising your TAYO.pro workspace.
Over the weekend of 9-10 August, your existing notifications were deleted and your notification preferences reset. Take a moment to set them again.
Two months of the PLUS plan, free.
April 2025
Projects created outside Tayo now behave like any other. More room to move, your private clients included.
Your company’s contact details — the ones on your Identity — are now visible to your clients on shared projects, so they can reach you directly.
You can switch off the “tags” and “intervention sites” modules if you do not use them, from the company settings.
Get an alert as soon as a certificate on your Identity is close to expiring — two weeks ahead — or has expired. By e-mail, in the app, or both. Enough to plan your renewals.
March 2025
PLUS plan required — beta.
You can now create and run projects with your own clients, even when they do not go through a property manager using Tayo. Quotes, interventions and invoices are all handled inside TAYO.pro, and your clients get a simpler view of it.
Every client can have an access level that decides how they deal with your projects and documents.
Portal access — for regular clients and property managers running several projects.
E-mail access — to work with an occasional client, with no sign-up.
No access — when the client uses an application TAYO.pro does not support.
January 2025
Passwords are a nuisance, especially on a shared account. On the sign-in page, choose passwordless sign-in, enter your e-mail address, then follow the link you receive. You are in.
You asked for it: send spontaneous quotes and invoices straight from TAYO.pro. On the projects dashboard, the + button at the top right opens the form — pick the document type, fill in the details, send.
Your clients can look up your administrative details, certifications and insurance online, with no integration. Add or import your private clients, then use Share identity from the Clients screen. Access can be revoked at any time.
Working with partners or subcontractors, it helps to check their certifications and commercial-register entry. The identity-sharing page lists the companies that have shared theirs with you.
The PLUS plan is available in beta, at a discount. The free plan is called “TAYO”; the PLUS plan adds message templates, client and contact management, CSV import/export, and identity sharing with your clients.
Re-synchronising Tayo data no longer overwrites your own changes, forced statuses included.
