Creating and sending an invoice
An invoice starts from a project — usually a finished work order, or a quote that was accepted and carried out.
TAYO.pro does not write the invoice
Section titled “TAYO.pro does not write the invoice”As with quotes: TAYO.pro generates no documents. Your invoice comes out of your ERP or your accounting software. TAYO.pro keeps its amount, its reference and the PDF, then sends it.
So there are no line items to retype, and an accepted quote does not “pre-fill” anything: the invoice PDF is yours.
What you enter
Section titled “What you enter”The amount, the payment method and the PDF. The reference is yours to set: it is not assigned automatically, you fill it in so it matches your bookkeeping.
Sending it
Section titled “Sending it”The Send button, the paper plane icon.
The project moves to Invoices awaiting payment and the invoice to Sent.
You can still change it
Section titled “You can still change it”As long as the client has neither accepted nor rejected it, the invoice stays editable. You can correct an amount or replace the PDF.
Once they have responded, it is locked.
Tracking payment
Section titled “Tracking payment”You confirm the payment yourself when the money arrives. Until you do, the invoice stays open — even if the client accepted it. See Understanding invoice statuses.
Three ways to save time:
- Invoice reminders chase the client for you.
- Importing paid invoices settles several at once from your bank statement.
- The accepted → paid automation suits you if you treat an accepted invoice as one that will be paid.
